Dr. Viagrande brings his high level of expertise chair-side, combined with a down-to-earth attitude to help each patient reach the level of dental health the patient wants for himself or herself.

Dr. Peter Michaelson
Dr. Peter Michaelson received his DMD from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 1981. He has been in private practice for over 25 years. Dr. Michaelson has extensive post graduate education, and completes a yearly comprehensive update from Clinical Research Associates, focusing on root canal therapy and inlay/onlay restorations.

Personally, Dr.Michaelson is an accomplished musician who plays the saxophone, as well as periodically hosting “Accent on Jazz” on WWUH Radio in Hartford.

In addition, he is an avid long distance runner, and has won two gold medals in the 2000 Nutmeg Games in the “Over Forty” track competition. He has also won a gold medal in the 2005 Nutmeg Games and in the 2005 Connecticut Senior Games in the age 50-54 track and field competition.

Dr. Michaelson believes that before treatment begins, it is essential to talk with each patient and listen to their concerns, problems, and expectations with their teeth and dental treatment. When he knows what is important to you, then he can custom design your treatment for you.
